Prior to joining DOKU, Chris Yeo was the Managing Director and Head of GrabPay and GrabRewards at Grab Financial Group.

At DOKU, he will work closely with the previous DOKU CEO Thong Sennelius, who will remain as a member of the DOKU Board of Directors.

DOKU's co-founders have high hopes for the onboarding of Chris Yeo.

"Chris brings the right expertise at the right time to lead DOKU into the next stage of growth. With his extensive regional and international experience, Chris will expand DOKU’s presence throughout Southeast Asia, deploying his expertise, relationships, and knowledge of mobile-based payments to guide DOKU’s continued expansion," DOKU Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Nabilah Alsagoff said in the statement.

Initiating its businesses in Indonesia 14 years ago, DOKU claims it is the first online payment gateway in the archipelago nation.

Now, it has expanded its product offerings and is now a complete payments platform that offers the widest suite of online and offline payment products and value-added services in the country.

Nabilah added that having secured a strong foothold in Indonesia, it is now the time for DOKU "to explore servicing merchants in neighboring countries, by implementing DOKU’s best practices, products, and innovative features."

DOKU has improvized in many of its services to cater to the need of enterprises and large businesses, including by offering customized solutions to meet complex payment needs.

It said the platform is the only payment platform in Indonesia to offer a "T+0 same day
settlement" feature in the aggregator model that is tailored to fit the needs of mutual funds
merchants, as required by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for online mutual funds purchases.

"We value service excellence when dealing with our merchants and ensure our dedicated
account management teams provide a high level of service. DOKU processes over 100
a million transactions per year and therefore, a strong fraud and risk management system is
key to ensure every transaction is successful," said DOKU Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Himelda Renuat.
