JAKARTADAILY.ID - The Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK speaks up on Indra Kenz's anticorruption song currently “missing” from the anticorruption institution’s official Youtube channel. The decision to stop the publication of Indra Kenz’s song was made as a form of its commitment.
Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri, also said that this step was taken considering that the songwriter was involved in a case of alleged investment fraud on the Binomo platform.
According to Fikri, the dragging of Indra Kenz's name in the case seemed to reflect his behavior that was contrary to the anti-corruption values in the song he composed.
“As a form of commitment, KPK discontinued the anti-corruption song campaign created by parties who are suspected of actually committing acts that are contrary to anti-corruption values as contained in the song," said Fikri.
He then emphasized that this step was taken as a message for all parties to always uphold the anti-corruption stance.
"This is a message for all of us to always hold fast to our anti-corruption stance," he said.
Ali Fikri also said the KPK would respect and support the ongoing legal process against Indra Kesuma or Indra Kenz.
“KPK respect and supports the undergoing legal processes to the anticorruption songwriter with suspicion of fraud,” he said.
KPK Indonesia Youtube channel previously uploaded a video titled “Lihat, Lawan, Laporkan” last August 2021.
On the video was seen Indra Kenz who sings and models along with the anti-corruption song. But as of Tuesday, March 15, 2022 evening, the song is no longer on the channel. Because KPK decided to stop the publication of the anti-corruption song written by Indra Kenz.
“KPK took further steps by discontinuing the publication of the song on KPK public’s communication mediums,” Fikri said as quoted by Pikiran-Rakyat.com from Antara on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
