Indonesian National Police Investigates Doni Salmanan as A Binomo Affiliate

JAKARTADAILY.ID - Criminal Investigation Police Investigators continue to investigate allegations of fraud under the guise of binary options trading by Binomo application affiliate, Doni Salmanan.

Head of the Public Information Section of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Chief Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko, said investigators have currently examined a number of witnesses and experts.

"Currently, statements from 4 witnesses and 3 expert witnesses have been taken," he told reporters, Friday, March 4, 2022.

Gatot said, his team is still investigating the case. Thus, they can yet explain the case’s investigation in detail.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Police Dedi Prasetyo previously said his team had also scheduled a police inspection of Doni Salmanan. The inspection is scheduled for next week.

"The information [inspection] is next week," said Dedi when confirmed, Friday, March 4, 2022.

Doni Salmanan is not the only one as the Criminal Investigation Department had also previously arrested influencer Indra Kesuma alias Indra Kenz on suspicion of Binomo fraud. Investigators are currently holding Indra for the next 20 days for investigation purposes.

In this case, Indra Kenz was charged with Article 45 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law. Then Article 45 paragraph 1 in conjunction with 28 paragraph 1 of the ITE Law, Article 3 of the Constitution Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering.
