JAKARTADAILY.ID - Five pollsters in Indonesia show that five Indonesian ministers under the cabinet of President Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, are on the radar for the 2024 presidential election.
Surveys from SMRC, Survei Indikator Politik Indonesia, Survei Litbang Kompas, Survei DTS Indonesia and Lembaga Survei Nasional, are still showing the most popular presidential candidates are still hovering at the names of Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.
Five of Jokowi's cabinet members, namely Sandiaga Uno, Tri Rismaharini, Erick Thohir, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Airlangga Hartarto are also on the radar for the 2024 presidential elections, although their electability is relatively low.
Of those names, only Airlangga Hartarto sits as a chairman of a political party. However, ironically, his electability is the lowest compared to his colleagues at the cabinet.
A survey result for electability in the 2024 presidential election from SMRC shows that Airlangga Hartarto's name does not exist. He was beaten by Tri Rismaharini, a cabinet member of Jokowi, whose electability was predicted at 1.6 percent.
Similar to SMRC, a survey result from the Research and Development Division of Kompas, a popular newspaper in Indonesia (Litbang Kompas), also failed to mention the name of Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and the Chairman of Golkar Party.
Airlangga's name does not show up after the least popular cabinet member Puan Maharani, whose electability stood at 0.6 percent. About 4.1 percent of the survey respondents said they picked other names and 11.8 percent said it is confidential/does not have any preferred candidates.
Meanwhile, a survey result from Indikator Politik Indonesia shows Airlangga's electability stood at 0.9 percent, beaten by other Jokowi cabinet members, namely Sandiaga Uno (3.9 percent), Tri Rismaharini (3.2 percent), Erick Thohir (1.0 percent), and Sri Mulyani Indrawati (1.0 percent).

Even Gatot Nurmantyo, a former army chief commander under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was more popular with 1.2 percent electability.
