JAKARTADAILY.ID – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) addressed Prabowo Subianto's proposal regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict during the Shangri-La Dialogue forum at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in Singapore on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Jokowi emphasized that the proposal came directly from Prabowo himself. When questioned by journalists during a press conference after the opening of the National Working Meeting of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) at the Party School building in Lenteng Agung, Jakarta on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Jokowi stated, "That was from Mr. Prabowo himself."
As the President, Jokowi mentioned that he would personally meet with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to hear his explanation.

"But I haven't met Mr Prabowo yet. Perhaps today or tomorrow. I have invited (him)," explained Jokowi.
Previously, Defense Minister Prabowo presented a peace resolution proposal to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine during his participation in the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue forum in Singapore. The proposal included three points to halt the war, namely a ceasefire, troop withdrawal, and a referendum.
However, Ukraine firmly rejected Prabowo's peace proposal, leading to heated debates and controversies in various international media outlets.
