A Wholesome Moment: Jokowi Holds Megawati's Hand at PDIP's National Working Meeting III

JAKARTADAILY.ID – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received a framed photo from the Chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri, during the party's National Working Meeting III on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Megawati was accompanied by PDIP's vice-presidential candidate for 2024, Ganjar Pranowo, PDIP's Central Executive Board (DPP) Chairwoman, Puan Maharani, and PDIP's DPP Chairman, Prananda Prabowo, as they presented the photo. They then posed with their fingers forming the metal hand sign during the photo handover ceremony on the stage of the National Working Meeting III.

After the photo handover ceremony, the host invited Jokowi and Megawati to return to their respective seats.

Megawati walked ahead towards her seat, but Jokowi followed from behind and walked right beside the fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Jokowi immediately reached out and tightly held Megawati's hand as they descended from the main stage of the National Working Meeting III.

Megawati and Jokowi were seen smiling at each other as they walked hand in hand down the stage of the National Working Meeting III.

Meanwhile, Puan, along with Prananda and Ganjar, could be seen walking behind Jokowi and Megawati, who were still holding hands.

After the aforementioned moment, the National Working Meeting III continued with the presentation of the ISO 55,001 certificate in 2014 to PDIP's Treasurer General, Olly Dondokambey, in relation to asset management.

PDIP's Secretary-General, Hasto Kristiyanto, stated that this certificate symbolizes the party's ability to effectively manage assets.

"This serves as a report to Chairwoman Megawati and Mr. Jokowi. The ISO certificate is related to asset management, indicating that the party's assets are well-managed and have obtained ISO certification thanks to Mr. Olly," explained Hasto during the National Working Meeting III of PDIP.
