JAKARTADAILY.ID – Visitors to the Warung Kopi Klotok on Jalan Kaliurang, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta were in for a pleasant surprise when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), First Lady Iriana Widodo, their youngest son Kaesang Pangarep, and his wife Erina Gudono unexpectedly showed up at the popular venue.
According to Presidenri.go.id, President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo enjoyed their weekend on Saturday, June 3, 2023, by paying a visit to the Klotok Coffee Shop. Accompanied by Kaesang and Erina, the presidential couple arrived at the coffee shop around 09:50 AM.
At the shop, the President and his family indulged in a variety of signature dishes from Warung Kopi Klotok, including klotok coffee, sayur lodeh (vegetable stew), tempe garit (fried tempeh), and crispy omelets. The President was particularly impressed by the delightful flavors of the menu.

"Very delicious. Lodeh, crispy eggs, tempe garit," President Jokowi wrote on a board prepared for the shop's visitors.
Sri Handayani, the owner of the shop, expressed her pride and joy at having President Jokowi and his family as guests. She shared that Mrs. Iriana praised her efforts in preserving Indonesian cuisine.
"She (Mrs. Iriana) is happy because we are defending regional cuisine, promoting regional cuisine," said Sri Handayani.
Sri Handayani was deeply moved by the honor of hosting President Jokowi and his family at her restaurant.
"It makes you emotional because the President is good; he is loved by his people. So, who wouldn't be happy about the President's visit? It's an honor," said Sri Handayani.
Not only the restaurant owner but the other visitors at the Klotok Coffee Shop were also overjoyed by the unexpected presence of President Jokowi and his family. Diah, a visitor from Jakarta, couldn't believe her luck in meeting the President and his family in person.
"I didn't expect it. I just wanted to have breakfast, and then I saw the Paspampres [Presidential Security Detail] passing by, and it turns out there was Pak Jokowi. Yesterday, I was just in Malioboro; I thought I wouldn't come here, but I came here," said Diah.
"I'm really happy. Iriana was really kind to Mrs. Iriana," she continued.
The same sentiment was shared by Lina, a visitor from Surabaya, who was vacationing with her family. Lina never imagined she would encounter President Jokowi and his family during her trip to Yogyakarta.
