JAKARTADAILY.ID – Facebook is one of the most used social media. But you need to be more careful because this social media is often targeted and abused by irresponsible persons.
Facebook is making it easier for users to stay connected with friends and family. However, sometimes Facebook users don't realize how much of their data is owned by social media which may be vulnerable to leaks.
Here are some tips and tricks recommended by Spokesperson for Cyber and State Cryptography (BSSN) Ariandi Putra, to secure Facebook data:
1. Use a strong password with a combination of letters, numbers, and characters.
A strong password will certainly make hacking your account even more difficult. The combination of letters, numbers, and characters will protect your account from irresponsible parties.
2. Create a different password for each account.
Do not use your Facebook account password on other sites. If another site gets hacked, that password can be used to log in to your Facebook account.

3. Don't click on or reply to messages asking for personal identification.
Never share your login info. Never give out your password. Facebook will never ask for your password in an email, message, or phone call.
Facebook will never submit a form that asks for personal information such as identification numbers, financial data, or passwords.
4. Don't open any link from the message you receive.
