JAKARTADAILY.ID – Personal data security is currently a warm topic of discussion in Indonesia. This follows the increase in Cyber Crime, one of which is the claim of hacker Bjorka who claims to hack the personal data of a number of Indonesian officials.

What is Banking Personal Data?

The Chief Executive of Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) Banking Supervision Dian Ediana Rae explained that personal data is data ranging from user names and passwords for financial applications such as internet banking and mobile banking.

“Second is the PIN starting from the ATM pin and pin for online transactions, the third is the OTP code or one-time password. This OTP code usually consists of a 6-digit code that is sent to a cell phone number,” he said on OJK’s Twitter account published on September 22, 2022.

The fourth, is the CCV number, which is the three digits behind the debit or credit card. This personal data must be protected and not notified to anyone, including those who claim to be bank officers.

"Real bank officers do not ask for customer personal data," he concluded.
