Man from Madiun Previously Suspected as Bjorka Charged Under Article from ITE Law

JAKARTADAILY.ID – A 21-year-old man from Madiun, East Java with the initials MAH has been named a suspect for his involvement in the distribution of personal data from hacker Bjorka on the Telegram messaging app.

Indonesian National police spokesperson Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that MAH was named a suspect and charged with the Articles of the Law on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE).

"The reason is that it has been mentioned regarding the ITE Law. The ITE Law has an article," said Dedi to reporters, Monday, September 19, 2022.

"Article 46, Article 48, Article 32, and Article 31 of the ITE Law," he added.

Dedi added that the article will later be applied by a special team to investigate the Bjorka case.

Previously, Dedi Prasetyo, revealed that MAH acted as the admin of the Telegram messaging group application called Bjorkanism.

MAH was allegedly spreading the personal data of a number of Indonesian officials on Telegram using his cellphone.
