JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) reopened access to Origin, a game marketplace and platform owned by Electronic Arts (EA), based in the United States.
The Director General of Informatics Applications (Aptika) Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, said that Electronic Arts has registered Origin as a PSE after the service was blocked along with Steam, PayPal, and Epic Games, among others.
"The normalization of Origin.com access has been carried out since 14.00 WIB on Wednesday, August 3, 2022," said Samuel in a press statement, Thursday, August 4, 2022.
As reported by JakartaDaily.id, Origin along with 7 other PSEs was blocked by Kominfo on July 29, 2022. The blocking was carried out because Origin.com was late in registering the Private Electronic System PSE.
Previously, Kominfo had previously opened access to Yahoo, and three platforms under Valve Corp; Steam, CS GO, and DOTA, on August 2, 2022.
