Indonesian Ministry of Communication Officially Reopens Access to PayPal, Steam, CS GG, Dota, and Yahoo!

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) has reopened access to Yahoo, and three platforms under Valve Corp; Steam, CS GO, and DOTA.

These four platforms were previously blocked due to late registration as a private Electronic Operator (PSE) in Indonesia.

"(Access to) Valve Corp (Steam, CS GO, and DOTA) have been normalized since 08.30 WIB today, Tuesday, August 2, 2022," said Director General of Informatics Applications (Aptika) Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan in a press statement, Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Semuel said that Kominfo has managed to establish contact with Yahoo! and Valve Corp, the licensees for Steam, CS GO, and DOTA. Apart from that, his party has also normalized the Yahoo platform, which was also blocked.

"For Yahoo, normalization has been carried out since 08.30 WIB today, Tuesday, August 2, 2022," explained Samuel.

As for PayPal, it has already normalized its access since Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 08.00 WIB, although until now PayPal has not responded to Kominfo's request for private PSE registration in Indonesia.

"Paypal has been open for access since Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 08.00 WIB," said Samuel.
