JAKARTADAILY.ID – If you're having issues with your Xbox One or planning to sell it, performing a factory reset is a quick and easy way to remove your data.
Factory resets are simple procedures that can be performed on both the Xbox One and the Xbox One S. A factory reset takes away all of the data you've collected from the Xbox One. It's like taking back the device that came out with you.

Although you can still retain certain games and apps, the rest of the content on the console will be deleted, ensuring that it's always free of any technical issues.
There are a few different ways to reset your Xbox One, though most involve navigating to the console's dashboard or the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. In this case, you will learn how to perform a factory reset through the dashboard.
How to factory reset an Xbox One
To reset your Xbox One, go to the Settings, then System menu, and select "Reset console". You'll find a dialog box that states "Reset and remove everything" or "Reset and keep my games & apps".
If you select the "Reset and remove everything" option, all of the data on the console will be deleted. This is the only option you should use if you're going to wipe everything from the console.
Before performing a factory reset, make sure that all of your settings and content are synchronized and backed up. It will take a bit of time to entirely remove all of the console's data.

On the other hand, if you're not going to wipe everything from the console, then choosing the "Reset and keep my games & apps" option will remove the data but keep the apps and games you have installed.
When the console has been reset, all of your data will be erased, and your games and apps will stay, but you'll still need to sync all of your existing apps and games.
