West Java Receives Prestigious Recognition of Excellence Award for Sapa Warga Program

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The hard work and dedication of the West Java provincial team have earned them the esteemed Recognition of Excellence award. Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Jabar, Ika Mardiah, received the award on behalf of Governor Jabar, presented by OpenGov Asia CEO Mohit Sagar. The award was given in recognition of the success of Jabar Coding Camp, Ekosistem Data Jabar, and Sapawarga programs.

The award ceremony took place at the 7th Annual OpenGov Indonesia Leadership Forum on August 3, 2023, at The Westin Jakarta.

"We are motivated by this recognition to continue delivering the best for the people of West Java. We will keep advancing the Jabar Coding Camp program to meet the demand for digital talent and support digital transformation in Jabar," said Ika Mardiah.

She also highlighted plans to improve Ekosistem Data Jabar services, integrate data with various institutions, and utilize data for decision-making processes. Sapawarga, as the main gateway to public services, will undergo continuous enhancements with new features for easy public access.

The award was also received by Kang Juwanda, the IT Advisor to the Governor, who played a significant role in Jabar's digital transformation. Kang Ajun expressed gratitude to all parties involved in the hard work and commitment that made West Java the leading digital province in Indonesia.

He emphasized that the Jabar Coding Camp program aims to produce highly competitive digital talents from West Java, considering the increasing demand for digital skills in the future.

CEO & Managing Director of OpenGov Asia, Mohit Sagar, congratulated West Java for the prestigious Recognition of Excellence award for the third time in 2023.

OpenGov Asia praised the provincial government's utilization of technology to enhance public services, notably the Sapawarga program. Initially designed for RW communities, Sapawarga is now accessible to the general public, facilitating tasks such as vehicle tax payments, job searches, business permits, education and scholarship information, and even ticket reservations for Galeri Rasulullah and Tahura Juanda-Dago.

The Indonesia Recognition of Excellence is part of the Recognition of Excellence series launched in 2015. Over the past six years, more than 500 government, health, education, FSI, and GLC entities have been recognized during ceremonies held in Canberra, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore, Sydney, Victoria, and Wellington.

The award officially acknowledges West Java's initiatives and efforts at the forefront of digital transformation, enriching citizens' lives through advanced online and digital services.
