JAKARTADAILY.ID – A new player has entered the social media scene. Meta, helmed by Mark Zuckerberg, has introduced an app called Threads as a compelling alternative to Elon Musk's Twitter.

According to Gizmochina, Elon Musk acquired Twitter for a staggering $44 billion at the end of 2022. Taking over as CEO, he wasted no time in implementing changes. While some users welcomed these changes, others were less enthusiastic.

The recent implementation of tweet limits proved highly unpopular, leading many users to seek alternatives. Recognizing this, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, took notice.

To compete with Twitter, they have been working on a platform called Threads, which acts as a text-based messaging app integrated with Instagram.

Threads allow users to connect more intimately with close friends and followers. The platform is now live, and accessing it is as simple as a click of a button.

How to Use Threads

To join Threads, download the app from either the App Store or Google Play Store. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Open the app and click on "Log in with Instagram."

2. If you already have the Instagram app installed on your device, Threads will automatically sign you in.

3. If you don't have the Instagram app, you will be prompted to install it. Once installed, you can proceed to sign in to Threads.

4. Once logged in, you can start messaging your close friends and contacts.
