Erick Will Hold a Meeting as His First Act as Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association

JAKARTADAILY.ID - The general chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) elected Erick Thohir chose to hold a national football seminar in the next two weeks.

He said the workshop would be divided into several categories, starting from the League 1, League 2, League 3 groups, futsal, referees, to women's football.

Through this seminar, he will share his vision and mission as chairman in general. Where the vision and mission need to be mutually agreed upon.

"What is the vision of League 1, what is the national team like, please discuss and debate, after that we agree together, then we will talk about short-term football blueprints," Erick said after the PSSI Extraordinary Congress at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, February 16, 2023.

The former President of Inter Milan said that Indonesia must also prepare itself to host the U-20 World Cup. Erick considered this event very important for the nation's credibility in the eyes of the world.

"Remember, our biggest task is in 94 days, we are facing the U-20 world championship, this is FIFA's second biggest event and it is impossible for Indonesia to get it once in ten years, meaning that the dignity of our nation is at stake," said Erick.

Erick will also speak with the national team to find out what is needed in preparing the team for the short and long term.
