Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs: Property Industry Needs MSMEs, Mutual Support to Survive and Thrive

JAKARTADAILY – Assistant Deputy for Entrepreneurial Financing of the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Edhi Kusdiyarwoko said that the collaboration between industries is one way out to survive the global crisis where all countries are affected, including Indonesia.

This is the common thread that was revealed at the Urbancity Awards event held at the Nareswara Ballroom, Smesco, South Jakarta, Saturday, September 16, 2022.

He revealed that the contribution of MSMEs was recorded at around 61 percent of the national GDP and absorbed 97 percent of the total workforce.

In times of crisis, MSMEs are often cushioned, maintain resilience, and career able to recover well. For this reason, Edhi invites the property industry to partner with MSMEs.

"I invite the property industry to be able to make partnerships with MSMEs in their supply chains, to jointly generate the national economy," said Edhi.

Meanwhile, CEO of PT Opatan Komunika Sejahtera, the parent company of Urbancity.id (the organizer of the Award), Mukhtar Wijaya revealed that in accordance with the theme of this year's Urbancity Awards, his party wants to invite all related industries to collaborate in making the property industry a trigger for Indonesia's economic growth after the Covid pandemic. -19.

"We want this event as an effort to strengthen the collaboration that has been established, the condition of the property industry is currently improving.

We hope that, through the offering of the 2022 Urbancity awards, it will spur the property industry and related sectors to better meet the post-pandemic future," said Mukhtar.

Mukhtar emphasized that collaboration is very necessary to maintain the momentum of the revival of the property industry in the country after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The reason being the current increase in fuel prices and the global crisis are expected to have an impact on this industry.

“At the very least, the possible impact will be an increase in land prices and an increase in material prices. Through the collaboration of the property industry and related sectors, we hope to overcome these challenges," he said.
