JAKARTADAILY.ID -- The Ministry of Industry has started intensive assistance to 30 leading small and medium-sized industries (IKM) in Lampung as a result of curation through the e-Smart IKM platform.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said this business assistance was a continuation program of the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) in 2022 to increase the number of MSMEs/IKM.
"This assistance also creates value for producers and consumers to have quality local products," said Agus Gumiwang in Jakarta, Monday, April 11, 2022.
Agus Guiwang said that his party had collaborated with the Provincial, Regency and City Governments of Lampung, Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, top brands, the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), and Dekranasda to hold the kick off of Gernas BBI Lampung with the theme #LagawiFest - Lampung. Proud Industrial Entrepreneur, One Earth Million Works, last March 17.
In the event, the Ministry of Industry also announced 30 selected SMIs who were selected from 478 registered SMIs through the esmartikm.id website.
"A total of 30 leading IKM Lampung come from various regencies/cities in Lampung Province which produce various commodities, namely food and beverages (19 IKM), children's toys (1 IKM), fashion (3 IKM), handicrafts (7 IKM), and appropriate technology machines (1 IKM),” he said.

The selected SMIs from the food sector include Rafins Snack, Natural Panda, and Suhita Honey.
"These 30 SMIs were selected through three curation stages, both in terms of basic requirements, mapping the digital literacy level of e-Smart IKM registrants, to various assessment criteria such as product aspects, business management, to aspects of social and environmental benefits provided by the IKMs," he added.
Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry, Reni Yanita, said that one of the IKMs from Lampung that started to skyrocket due to the quality of their products and online marketing strategy was Rafin's Snack.
"Rafin's Snack, which is famous for its fish skin products, has also reached the Egyptian market, and was sold at the Mandalika MotoGP event. This is proof that Indonesian snacks are not only liked by local tourists, but also foreign tourists," she said.
