JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) stated that starting January 2020 the utilization of biodiesel as a mixture of fuel oil is set at a minimum of 30 percent (B30).
In a written statement published on esdm.go.id it was stated, "The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources determines the allocation of biodiesel for 2023 through Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 205.K/EK.05/DJE/2022 dated December 15, 2022, concerning Determination of Oil Fuel Business Entities and Business Entities biodiesel Fuel Business and Allocation of Volume for Mixing Diesel Fuel Oil for the Period of January - December 2023,".
The distribution of the biodiesel program in 2023 is supported by 21 Biofuel Business Entities/BBN BUs, with an installed capacity of 16,653,821 kiloliters (kL).

Referring to the projected distribution of biodiesel in 2022 of 36,475,050 kL, as well as the assumption of demand growth of 3 percent, it is estimated that biodiesel sales in 2023 will reach 37,567,411 million kL.
The estimated need for biodiesel to support the implementation of B35 is 13,148,594 kL, or an increase of around 19 percent compared to the 2022 allocation of 11,025,604 kL.
The distribution of the biodiesel program in 2023 is supported by 21 Biofuel Business Entities/BBN BUs, with an installed capacity of 16,653,821 kL.

"The government hopes that the distribution of biodiesel in 2023 can be carried out more efficiently and minimizes delays or supply failures (B0)," it said.
