JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) praised the efforts to implement Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)in the 2022 EOR Festival.
This praise was given by the Indonesian government as a stimulus to accelerate and massively expand the implementation of Indonesia's EOR technology.
"The EOR Festival is expected to be a momentum for accelerating implementation because various EOR technologies are becoming more open and opportunities for cooperation between Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) and technology companies in implementing EOR can open," Director General of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji said in a press release publish at esdm.go.id, Friday, December 16, 2022.

The EOR Festival is also the Indonesian government's step in increasing stakeholder collaboration to maintain the investment climate in the oil and gas sector through technology development.
"The government encourages the implementation of EOR to be carried out more massively so there needs to be collaboration from stakeholders to protect the climate and increase the passion for oil and gas investment in order to maintain energy security, especially in the energy transition era like now," he added.
On the same occasion, Head of the Oil and Gas Testing Center (BBPMGB LEMIGAS) Ariana Soemanto said that the 2022 EOR Festival involved 18 participants competing to develop EOR technology.

The judging process, said Ariana, was held in early November and presented a professional jury chaired by Usman Pasarai, with jury members from ITB (H. Septoratno Siregar, Zuher Syihab), Trisakti University (Rini Setiati), UPN (Dedy Kristanto, Harry Budihardjo), Riau Islamic University (Muslim).
In addition, there are also SKK Migas Arif Bagus Prasetyo and professionals, namely Faizal Asmadi.
In judging, the aspects assessed in this competition include the success rate of increasing oil production, TKDN (Domestic Component Level), economy, innovation, sustainability, and supply chain, and project management," said Usman Pasarai.

"A comparative study of the field was also carried out to support the judging. As a result, out of the 18 EOR Festival participants, 3 main winners and 3 hopeful winners will be announced for each category, both the Laboratory category and the Field category," explained Ariana.
