JAKARTADAILY.ID - The Presidential Staff Office or KSP claims that the availability of bulk cooking oil is safe. According to Deputy III KSP, Panutan Sulendrakusuma, said it was caused by having 42 producers registering as suppliers, willing to follow the IDR14,000 highest retail price.
“It fulfills the 7,000 per day requirement,” Panutan said.
The government also pushes other producers to keep the supply of bulk cooking oil by registering to the Ministry of Industry through the National Information System.
His team also asked relevant ministries to shorten the time for disbursing subsidies so that the flow of producer funds would not be disrupted.
"And they are more enthusiastic about producing bulks so that the number of producers who register continues to grow," he added.
Panutan ensured that KSP would continue to oversee the implementation of the bulk cooking oil HET policy on the field.
"KSP will continue to supervise, evaluate and do field verification of the implementation of the HET policy on bulk cooking oil in the field together with relevant ministries/agencies," he said.
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had asked the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) to issue a policy of IDR 14,000 HET for bulk cooking oil.
Meanwhile, the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) will subsidize the price of bulk cooking oil to producers.
With this subsidy, producers will get an incentive to continue producing bulk cooking oil while consumers can get it at an affordable price.
