JAKARTADAILY.ID – Krakatau Tirta Industri (KTI), a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel that specializes in industrial water supply, held a webinar in collaboration with the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Dialogue Forum on Monday, February 27, 2023, with the theme "Industrial Water Treatment Technology and Development."
The webinar featured Anggawira, the Secretary General of the HIPMI Central Governing Body (BPP); Prof. Ir. I Gede Wenten, M.Sc., Ph.D., a professor at the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology; Daddy Waluyo, the Main Director of METITO Indonesia; and Ersan Ozdemir, the HYREC Lead Engineer and a provider of salt and mineral recovery technology in Bahrain.
According to Alugoro Mulyowahyudi, the President Director of PT Krakatau Tirta Industri, KTI is committed to innovating and developing clean water management solutions for communities and industrial areas across Indonesia using high technology.
"Although many people know that KTI operates only in the province of Banten, KTI is now in the KTI 2.0 era and has expanded its business development to provide clean water for communities and industries throughout Indonesia," said Alugoro on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
KTI is building integrated infrastructure for the development of clean water from upstream to downstream, such as PT Mitsubishi Chemical Indonesia's WTP Demin, PT Latinusa Tbk's WRP and WTP Demin, and PT Krakatau Posco WWTP, all of which are managed by KTI.

Alugoro also stated that KTI is currently constructing a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with a capacity of 600 liters/second, which is the company's second strategic investment project after the construction of a seawater installation (SWRO) in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, which began in mid-2022 and will be completed by the end of this year.
In addition, KTI is building a new distribution network in the Krakatau Steel Industrial Area with a length of more than 2.5 kilometers, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year, along with increasing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation reliability through system automation.
"KTI is ready to invest in various regions and collaborate with various parties, particularly local governments and Regional Drinking Water Companies, to build and develop clean water management, not only in one industrial area but in one regency city as well, in order to help meet the water needs of various sectors of people's lives now and in the future," said Alugoro.
PT Krakatau Tirta Industri (KTI) is an integrated drinking water supply company that was initially formed as a PT Krakatau Steel "Cleaning Unit" as one of the main utility facilities. KTI was established on February 28, 1996, and currently provides water supply services for municipalities and industries.
