PLN ICON Plus Collaborates with Sumedang Regency Government to Build Electric Vehicle Ecosystem in West Java

JAKARTADAILY.ID - PLN ICON Plus Subholding Beyond kWh from PT PLN (Persero), and the Sumedang Regency Government collaborate in developing an electric vehicle ecosystem in West Java.

This effort is made to encourage the use of environmentally friendly vehicles and support the Net Zero Emissions 2060 vision.

President Director of PLN ICON Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi, said the collaboration between PLN ICON Plus and the Sumedang Regency Government shows the participation of all parties in realizing the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

"To realize the presence of an electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, collaboration between all parties is needed, such as what PLN ICON Plus has done with the Sumedang Regency Government," Ari said in an official statement quoted on Saturday, September 3, 2023.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was carried out on Thursday, August 31, 2023, in Sumedang, West Java, by PLN ICON Plus President Director Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi and Sumedang Regent Dony Ahmad Munir.

In this agreement, Ari Rahmat expressed his appreciation to the Sumedang Regency Government for the cooperation that has been established for approximately 5 years.

This collaboration, he continued, succeeded in delivering Sumedang Regency as Rank One in the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in Indonesia.

"Many local governments come to Sumedang to learn from the successful implementation of SPBE," Ari added.

Sumedang Regent Dony Ahmad Munir expressed his hope for synergy with PLN ICON Plus and his appreciation to PLN ICON Plus for its support so far.

He is optimistic that the collaboration with PLN ICON Plus will make Sukabumi a standard for local governments that are committed to supporting the electric vehicle ecosystem.

"Thanks also to PLN Icon Plus for supporting the Smart City program in Sumedang. Thanks to the fiber optic network from PLN ICON Plus that has reached our villages, people in Sumedang can enjoy the benefits," said Dony.
