JAKARTADAILY.ID - the nusa dua tourism area, which is managed by PT Pembangunan Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), recorded an increase in hotel occupancy during the Eid holiday in 2022 compared to the previous year.

The Occupancy rate in Nusa Dua, Bali, between May 1 and 8,  2022 was recorded at 69 percent, with the number of tourist visits reaching more than 16,000 people, dominated by domestic tourists.

This number increased significantly compared to the Occupancy rate for the Eid holiday period last year which was only 11.14 percent, with the number of tourist visits amounting to approximately 3,800 people.

"The area's Occupancy rate during the Lebaran holiday period this year showed a significant increase driven by domestic tourist visits and the policy of easing mobility," said Managing Director of the nusa dua, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita, as quoted from the official website ITDC.co.id, Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Ardita said, in addition to attractive offers from tenants during the Lebaran holiday period, his party believes that the management of the area and hotels based on health protocols is a factor that encourages public trust to spend the holiday period in the nusa dua area.

There are thirteen hotels with occupancy above 50 percent, with four of them achieving occupancy above 80 percent. Meanwhile, the number of tourist visits to DTW Water Blow Peninsula, one of the natural tourist spots in the nusa dua, reached almost 2,500 people during the Eid holiday.

"We hope that this increasing momentum can be maintained along with the improving conditions of the pandemic and the increase in tourism activities that will take place in Bali, especially in the nusa dua area," added Ngurah Ardita.

During the first quarter of 2022, the nusa dua's average Occupancy rate itself grew 182 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

Meanwhile, tourist visits, which were dominated by domestic tourists, in that period grew by 124 percent, namely 60,388 people from 26,913 people in the first quarter of 2021.

The average Occupancy rate during January – March 2022 reached 21.23 percent, up from the average Occupancy rate of 7.53 percent during January – March 2021. While the average Occupancy rate in April 2022 reached 27.30 percent, up from 9.58 percent in April 2021.
