Sinar Mas Land Renovates Houses Owned by Underprivileged Residents Around the BSD City Area

JAKARTADAILY.ID - Sinar Mas Land through PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk continues to prove its concern for the community around the company's development environment. This is realized through the Department of Community Resident Support (CRS) of Sinar Mas Land in the form of renovation activities for residents' houses (house surgery) and the construction of a rural street lighting network in the Pagedangan District and Cisauk District, Tangerang Regency. In 2021, the company has allocated Rp 600 million for the two projects.

This program is part of Sinar Mas Land's efforts to build corporate partnerships with communities and complement the infrastructure around the BSD City development area. "We hope that this activity can help the community around BSD City to enjoy security and comfort in the right environment where we live together," said Head of the Corporate Affairs Division of BSD - Sinar Mas Land, Dony Martadisata.

In 2021, house renovation activities will be carried out on five houses owned by residents that are considered unfit for habitation and are below the healthy occupancy standard. Each of these houses is located in Cijantera Village, Cicalengka Village, Jatake Village, and Kadisirung Village, in the Pagedangan District, as well as in Cibogo Village, Cisauk District. Sinar Mas Land is also building a village road lighting network in the Situgadung Village area, Pagedangan District. The village was chosen because until now it does not yet have adequate street lighting.

The company has carried out the Home Renovation Program since 2014 and until now has renovated dozens of residential units in the Tangerang Regency area. Meanwhile, since 2018 Sinar Mas Land has also started the Rural Road Lighting Program on several roads in the Tangerang Regency area.

CRS Sinar Mas Land has also carried out various human resource development activities and construction of facilities in a number of areas in Tangerang Regency and South Tangerang City. One of the CRS team programs is to provide coding training for teenagers or residents around the BSD City area which has been carried out since 2016. In this program, dozens of high school graduates (SMA) or the equivalent are provided with coding skills so that they can then be transferred to work in other areas. a number of companies in the digital ecosystem in BSD City.
