JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian airliner Lion Air announced that as of Thursday, January 12, 2023, it will reopen Umrah flight services for a 13-day program from Aceh via Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Aceh Besar (BTJ) to Medina - King Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia (MED) and Jeddah – King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia (JED).
The flight schedule from Banda Aceh to Medina uses flight number JT-058. The departure schedule is at 15.30 WIB (Western Indonesia Time) and the arrival schedule is at 21.25 GMT+03.
Meanwhile, the flight schedule from Jeddah to Banda Aceh, with flight number JT-059. The schedule departs at 21.55 GMT+03 and arrives at 11.50 WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, said that the 2023 Umrah pilgrimage was a form of Lion Air's seriousness in accommodating and facilitating the needs of religious trips.
Umrah direct flights from Aceh become a new embarkation after:
1. Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta (CGK)
2. Surabaya Juanda, East Java (SUB)
3. Medan Kualanamu, North Sumatra (KNO)
4. Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin, South Sulawesi (UPG)
5. Kertajati Majalengka, West Java (KJT) and
6. Padang – Minangkabau (PDG).
Lion Air will gradually serve from other airports (Pekanbaru, Batam) and other areas, according to market demand.
