JAKARTADAILY.ID – Acting Head of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) Didid Noordiatmoko stated that crypto asset physical market trading in Indonesia continues to increase and the market segmentation is also getting wider.
This is indicated by the value of crypto asset transactions in Indonesia which has recorded a very significant amount in the last three years.
"The transaction value in 2020 was Rp 64.9 trillion, then increased very rapidly in 2021 to Rp 859.4 trillion, and decreased in 2022 to Rp 296.66 trillion until November," he said in a press statement, quoted on Friday, January 6, 2023.

Didid explained that in terms of customers or users of crypto assets at the end of 2021, Bappebti recorded the number of users as many as 11.2 million people.
This figure increased rapidly at the end of November 2022 to 16.55 million people, dominated by millennials aged between 18-30 years by 48.7 percent.
As of November 2022, Bappebti has granted licenses in the form of registration marks as prospective crypto asset physical traders to 25 companies to facilitate crypto asset physical market trading. Bappebti has also determined the types of crypto assets traded in the crypto asset physical market as many as 383 types of crypto assets.

Ten of these crypto assets are local coins. In addition, Bappebti has also regulated the ecosystem and governance of crypto asset trading which is built with an interconnected separation of functions mechanism.
