JAKARTADAILY.ID – Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM), the National Amil Zakat Institution (Laznas) which is affiliated with PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk showcased its flagship program at the Indonesia Giving Fest (IGF) Zakat Expo 2022 which was held at Tennis Indoor Senayan last December.
BMM Executive Director Nanang Basuki said, his party participated in the Indonesia Giving Festival in order to open up space for interaction with the public. Apart from that, this event is also a form of BMM's accountability to the public about how BMM fulfills its mandate.
"Together with other zakat management organizations, the existence, and role of BMM as Laznas is presented at this event. Not only about distribution programs, collection programs, but also how to invite the public to contribute directly by becoming BMM amil (officer)," said Nanang.

IGF 2022 is the first and most immense kindness festival in Indonesia which collaborates with 199 zakat institutions. This exhibition aims to highlight various excellent programs implemented by zakat institutions.
The Indonesia Giving Fest - Zakat Expo 2022 also wants to invite the public to get to know zakat institutions and the social impact they have given on society.
In the IGF 2022 agenda, BMM presents several superior products from the BMM-fostered village program such as mushroom chips, coconut water syrup, palm crystals, cassava chips, strawberry chili sauce, and massage oil to fashion products such as women's bags.

"Alhamdulillah, hundreds of visitors interacted at the Bank Muamalat Indonesia booth and received benefits and education about the ongoing BMM program. This indicates that the community is enthusiastic about wanting to know and learn more about zakat institutions," he added.
