BNI Shows Collaboration with Bank Nagari to the Ministry of SOE as an Effort for development of West Sumatra

JAKARTADAILY.ID – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) revealed the initiatives it has undertaken in an effort to contribute to the development of West Sumatra Province. The initiative is in the form of cooperation with a local regional bank, PT Bank Nagari.

BNI's collaboration with Bank Nagari was reiterated by BNI's Director of Network & Services Ronny Venir when accompanying Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE's) Erick Thohir during his working visit to West Sumatra Province for a full day on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Ronny said BNI has a platform to facilitate public financial transactions through BNI Mobile Banking, BNI Direct, to BNI XPora. These three are one of the focuses of cooperation with Bank Nagari.

With these three platforms, BNI is ready to accelerate the digitization of financial services. This is expected to expand the scope of banking services for the people of West Sumatra.

Collaboration with Bank Nagari is carried out to build regional ecosystems and strengthen regional banking services in West Sumatra. Bank Nagari is the only bank owned by the regional government of West Sumatra which is headquartered in the city of Padang. The collaboration aims to improve the economy of the people in West Sumatra, especially Padang.

"Hopefully this support will provide positive energy so that the people of West Sumatra, especially Padang, are more developed and can explore the economic potential in the surrounding area," said Ronny.

Previously it was known, Erick Thohir together with Commissioners, Directors, and BUMN Officials native to West Sumatra reviewed several infrastructure projects in the West Sumatra such as the construction of the Sitinjau Lauik flyover to the revitalization of the Mak Itam train, Sawahlunto.

"Even in West Sumatra. Today we want to review several BUMN projects to improve West Sumatra's infrastructure. God willing, with more adequate infrastructure, West Sumatra can boost the regional and national economy," he said.
