JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin reminded again that Indonesia's target in 2024 is to become the World's Leading Halal Producer.
For this reason, concrete steps are needed to realize these big goals.
"Today our focus is to evaluate the progress of achievements until the end of 2022, and determine steps to accelerate," said the Vice President while chairing the Plenary Meeting III of the National Sharia Economic and Finance Committee (KNEKS) at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jl. Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

The Vice President said that success in making Indonesia the largest halal producer in the world in 2024 would have many positive impacts on the country and society, especially in the fields of Islamic economics and finance.
"The realization of Indonesia's vision as the world's leading halal producer can encourage the Islamic economic and financial industry as a new stream of the Indonesian economy at the domestic and global levels," said the Vice President.
"Now is a very good time to realize the intended vision, including opening more jobs, alleviating poverty, and increasing welfare which is expected to provide inclusive benefits for all Indonesian people," added the Vice President who also served as the Daily Chair of KNEKS concluded.

The third KNEKS Plenary Meeting chaired directly by the Vice President was attended by 16 heads of ministries/agencies/agencies of KNEKS Members offline, as well as other participants online.
