Indonesian SOEs in Showed Positive Growth During Erick Thohir's Era According to Survey

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The performance of Indonesian Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir in transforming SOEs received appreciation from the public. This is illustrated in the results of the Poltracking Indonesia national survey which was announced on December 8, 2022.

A researcher at the Center of Economic and Law Studies (CELIOS) Akbar Fadzkurrahman acknowledged that SOEs had performed positively performance in a comprehensive manner. It is shown by income and total assets.

"The achievements of SOEs in general during the Erick Thohir era can be said to be better, which can be seen from the increase in overall assets and profits," Akbar said in Jakarta last weekend.

This is because the Minister of SOEs encourages transformation and digitalization. The most important thing is to maintain the performance of state-owned companies so that they continue to increase.

"However, several SOEs still need attention because their performance is not yet good," said Akbar.

The Poltracking Indonesia national survey stated that the performance of Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir in transforming SOEs received appreciation from the public.

Poltracking Indonesia Executive Director Hanta Yuda AR said the level of public satisfaction with Erick's performance was high. The former President of Inter Milan is in second place after Defense Minister Prabowo.

Previously, Erick said that on a consolidated basis, SOEs profits could be more than Rp200 trillion in 2022, of which Rp54 trillion was the result of Garuda's restructuring. So that there was a profit growth of SOEs by 28 percent compared to last year.
