JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police conducted a search of three warehouses for the pharmaceutical company PT Afi Farma Pharmaceutical Industries (PT Afi Farma).
PT Afi Farma is a pharmaceutical company suspected of producing syrups containing excessive ethylene glycol (EG) and diethylene glycol (FG).
"On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, a joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police carried out searches at three warehouses for storing PT AF's raw materials, namely PT WWRC, PT TBK, and PT BA," said the Head of the Public Information Section of the National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Nurul Azizah to journalists, Thursday, November 3, 2022.

From the search, Nurul continued, the team confiscated raw materials for drugs of the type ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol.
"From the search process at the three PT AF suppliers, the team took and confiscated raw materials for drugs of the type EG and DEG," she said.
Separately, the Director of the Criminal Investigation Division, Police Brigadier General Pipit Rismanto, explained that in addition to securing evidence, the Criminal Investigation Unit has questioned 15 witnesses.
His party is still investigating and has not named a suspect in this case
