JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan sent off 8 million smartphone units abroad to be exported by PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia (PT SEIN) in North Cikarang, West Java, on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
During the occasion, the Minister underlined that Indonesia could become a production and export hub for smartphones to various markets around the world.
"This export achievement can certainly encourage Indonesia to become a production base for electronic products, including smartphones," said Zulkifli Hasan in a press release published on the Ministry of Trade website on Thursday, October 14, 2022.

PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia (PT SEIN) has successfully exported 8 million units of smartphones to various countries from 2018 to the 3rd quarter of 2022. For this success, the Minister of Trade also expressed his appreciation for Samsung's contribution to domestic production.
"I express my gratitude and appreciation to the leadership of PT SEIN and their ranks who continue to encourage increased Indonesian exports of electronic products, including smartphones," said Zulkifli Hasan.
Zulkifli Hasan explained that the electronics sector is a leading sector that is included in the priority of the Making Indonesia 4.0 program.
