Indonesian Sharia Economic Festival 2022 Record Transactions Value at Rp 27.6 Trillion

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The 9th Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) in 2022 recorded transactions worth Rp 27.6 trillion. With this achievement, the value of ISEF's transactions this year increased by 7 percent compared to 2021 (Rp 25.8 trillion).

These transactions include financing for Islamic financial institutions, transactions between business actors, transactions between business actors and consumers, and ISEF 2022 exhibition transactions, including all transactions in the 2022 FESyar (Sharia Economic Festival) series of activities.

The Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Juda Agung, said that this good achievement could be realized because of the full support from various parties, both national and international in the success of the 9th ISEF event.

“In line with the theme, namely -Recover Together Recover Stronger: Optimizing Sharia Economy and Finance for Inclusive Recovery-, this year's ISEF is expected to encourage national economic recovery to achieve stronger, inclusive, and sustainable growth through economic development and Sharia finance," he explained at the 9th ISEF closing ceremony which was held in a hybrid manner in Jakarta, on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Sharia economic and financial development is carried out through various programs including holding the 2022 International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MOTIONFEST).

This event was first held as part of efforts to make Indonesia a mecca for modest fashion in the world. In addition, it also encourages the revival of Halal MSMEs and the Global Halal Hub ecosystem through the declaration of a national movement to accelerate halal certification and strengthen the Global Halal Hub ecosystem.

“The entire series of activities of the 9th ISEF in 2022 is focused on promoting economic recovery and involving various groups,” he said.

The 9th ISEF recorded the participation of 566,181 participants from FESyar to ISEF 2022 and 4,553 participants from 4 competitions held this year (Hijrahpreneur 3.0, National Sharia Economic Competition (KESN), Youth Sharia Sociopreneur Competition (YSSC), and Modest Young Designer Competition (MYDC)).

In this activity, there were also 106,355 visitors from 92 countries who accessed the ISEF 2022 website from September 1, 2022, to October 9, 2022. ISEF 2022 was also attended by 950 business actors (283 offline participants and 667 online participants).

In supporting the acceleration of halal certification facilitated by Bank Indonesia involving related partners, until October 2022, 1,898 certificates have been issued through PPH assistance certification (1,690 certificates) and self-declare (208 certificates).
