JAKARTADAILY.ID – Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan said that the Ministry of Trade had prepared a "highway" for Indonesian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to progress and develop, and eventually enter the international market.
Minister Zulkifli said that this is part of the Ministry of Trade's commitment to supporting local SMEs during a meeting with SMEs in Kudus, Central Java, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
"SMEs are labor-intensive businesses (with) many people involved. If you want to become a developed country, SMEs must be supported," said the Ministry of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan in a press release on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

The Ministry of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan said that the Ministry of Trade has prepared a "highway" so that SME products can enter international markets, especially new markets.
Among other things, through trade agreements with non-traditional trading partner countries.
"So that our SMEs can enter the international market, one of them is by opening new potential markets.

For example, the agreement with the United Arab Emirates to open markets for the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe," said Hasan.
The Ministry of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, also invited SMEs, especially Muslim clothing, to participate in international exhibitions.
One of them is by participating in the Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week which will be held in conjunction with the 37th Indonesian Trade Expo in October 2022.

"At this exhibition, buyers from all over the world will attend and the Ministry of Trade will provide a special booth for SMEs," said Hasan.
The Ministry of Trade has also prepared a training program for SMEs to enter digital marketing.
