JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the realization of the PUPR Ministry's infrastructure spending as of August 2022 had reached Rp 47.79 trillion.
According to Basuki, the Ministry of PUPR continues the work program through PUPR infrastructure spending on low-income people (MBR) houses in order to increase competitiveness while supporting the National Economic Recovery (PEN) due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
"The realization of the PUPR Ministry's budget ceiling as of August 23, 2022, is Rp 47.79 trillion or 41.07 percent of the total budget (Rp 116.37 trillion) with physical progress of 46.94 percent," said Minister Basuki in a Working Meeting with Commission V Indonesian House of Representative, Thursday, August 25, 2022.
The Ministry of PUPR is committed to supporting the use of Domestic Products (PDN) to maintain the national economy through procuring goods and services of at least 90 percent of the budget ceiling.
"Until mid-August 2022, the realization of spending on the use of PDN is Rp 44.61 trillion or 42.99 percent of the target of Rp 103.78 trillion," said Minister Basuki.
Minister Basuki said thatfrom this progress, a number of PUPR Ministry infrastructures have been inaugurated from January to July 2022.
The first is for Water Resources Infrastructure (SDA), including the Randugunting Dam in Central Java, the Bintang Bano Dam in NTB, and the Sumingkir Embung in Central Java.
"In the field of roads and bridges, these include the Girinstall Suspension Bridge in Central Java, the Balige Bypass Road (KSPN Lake Toba), the East Java Ploso Bridge, and the Brebes - Tegal Ring Road in Central Java," said Minister Basuki.
Furthermore, in the field of Settlement, among others, the Rehabilitation of SDN Nglinduk 3 in Central Java, Revitalization of Legi Market in Central Java, Structuring of the Parapat Free Beach Area in North Sumatra, Structuring Ulos Hutaraja and Huta Siallagan Villages in North Sumatra, Structuring the Mount Kemukus Area in Central Java, and Banyumas Market in Central Java.
While in the housing sector, among others, the Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school Azzayadiy Flats in Central Java and the Bhakti Father Emak Foundation Flats in East Java," said Minister Basuki.
To support economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of PUPR has also continued the Cash-Intensive Program (PKT) in the form of infrastructure development involving local communities as development actors.
