JAKARTADAILY.ID – PT Waskita Toll Road, established on June 19, 2014 is a subsidiary of Indonesian state-owned company PT Waskita Karya Tbk that focuses on investing and managing toll road in Indonesia.
Waskita Toll Road said in a February 2022 presentation, available through its official website, that its business growth strategy is through the acquisition of toll road concessions that are still greenfield projects, initiation of unsolicited projects, and participation in bidding project tender.
In its company profile, Waskita Toll Road claims its vision aspires to be a leading company in Indonesia in toll road investment.
It currently owns 12 toll roads, three of which are fully operated, eight are partially operated and one is still under construction.

The current total length of WTR's toll roads are 653.69 kilometer.

The government's supports for toll road development
In the presentation, Waskita Toll Road explained about the government of Indonesia's support to accelerate toll road development in the archipelago nation.
"As one of the strategic project, the Government gives full support, both in investment and regulation side, for the toll road development in order to boost connectivity, reducing travel time and lower the logistic fee," WTR said, explaining about Indonesia's push to improve its ailing infrastructure.

There is also toll road master plan for Indonesia unveiled in the presentation, in which it said Indonesia seeks to operate 6,115 km toll roads by 2025.
Amid the push to accelerate toll road development, WTR also cited new regulations in Indonesia to accelerate land acquisition.
