JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesia's Ministry of Trade invited business owners in Indonesia to participate in the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), which will be held online and offline on October 19-23, 2022 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition at BSD City in Tangerang, Banten province.

The TEI, which has been dubbed the biggest trade exhibition in Indonesia will offer a theme of "Strengthening the Global Trade for Stronger Recovery."

The online event of the exhibition will last from October 19 to 23.

Didi Sumedi, Director General for National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade said he hoped that the 37th TEI will serve as a cross-border platform that can open opportunities for Indonesian products for the global markets.

"One that needs to be promoted at TEI is the prime products made-in Indonesia. I believe products from Indonesia can compete in the global markets. The ministry is inviting all business players to participate, as there will be business-to-business meetings with overseas players," Didi said in a statement sent to JakartaDaily.id on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

TEI will present products from seven sectors, which include manufacturing, fashion, accessories, healthcare, beauty, foods and beverages, medical equipment, home decorations, and digital products, the ministry said.

Miftah Farid, Director of Export Services and Creative Products at the Ministry of Trade, said in 2021, TEI was participated by 834 players. The exhibition was visited by more than 32,000 visitors from various countries, including, China, India, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, and other countries.

Last year's TEI racked a total transaction of more than $6 billion. 

Miftah said the 37th TEI is expected to help stimulate the businesses in Indonesia. "The businesses, trade, and investment, which have gradually recovered can be pushed for faster growth. I am inviting all the stakeholders in the manufacturing and trade sector to participate," he said.
