JAKARTADAILY.ID – A total of 287 Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) were dispatched to Japan through the 15th Batch IJEPA Government to Government (G to G) program for 2022 placement.

The 287 PMI departures were directly released by the Deputy Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor.

On this occasion, Afriansyah expressed his gratitude to the Government of Japan for its cooperation in supporting the process of sending PMIs to Japan through the G to G program.

"On behalf of the Indonesian government, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the Japanese government for providing the opportunity for PMIs to gain experience working in Japan through the G to G program," said Afriansyah, quoted from the Ministry of Manpower website, Wednesday, 22 June 2022.

Afriansyah said cooperation in PMI placement would certainly be more comprehensive if coupled with cooperation in the field of training.

"Therefore, I also want to invite the Japanese government to increase investment in the field of job training in Indonesia," he said.

He believes that the cooperation between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Japan is mutually beneficial. Currently, there are so many Japanese investments in Indonesia, both in the automotive sector, trade, industry, and services, among other sectors.

"I believe that Japan will get quite a lot of benefits from investing in various fields, both in the automotive, trade, industry, services, and other fields," he concluded.
