Lion Air Soon to Open Intra Maluku, Ambon to Langgur Flight Routes

JAKARTADAILY.ID – Lion Air Group will open a new destination city of Langgur, the administrative center of Southeast Maluku Regency, which is scheduled to be directly connected to Ambon, the capital of Maluku Province.

Lion Air Group Strategic Corporate Communications Danang Mandala Prihantoro said that for the inaugural flight, Lion Air flies from Ambon Pattimura International Airport (AMQ) to Karel Sadsuitubun Langgur Airport (LUV) round-trip (PP) to serve domestic scheduled passengers (regular flights).

"The next latest Lion Air service will support in facilitating the accessibility or movement of people and goods so that distances are shorter, travel times are faster and safer for the network," said Danang, in a press release that was uploaded on their website, Senin, May 23, 2022.

In addition, this new route will increase economic growth by utilizing basic sectors including tourism, trade, education, and MSMEs. This new route will encourage the development of superior coconut commodities, and increase the regional economy based on fisheries, namely capture fisheries production, seaweed cultivation, among others.

Lion Air, in its first flight to Langgur, has provided the Boeing 737-800NG aircraft type which provides passenger comfort when flying because it is known that the latest generation of aircraft is directly sent from the aircraft manufacturer.
