JAKARTADAILY.ID - There is good news for all government workers. Previously, Jokowi had officially signed a government regulation (PP) regarding the provision of THR and the 13th salary.

In the PP, Jokowi agreed to provide a 50 percent allowance for ASN, TNI, and Polri with performance allowance (tukin).

"I need to convey that on April 13, 2022, I have signed a government regulation regarding the provision of THR and the 13th salary bonus for all government workers, TNI [army] members, retired regional police government workers, pension recipients, and state officials, as well as an additional 50 percent performance allowance for serving government workers, TNI and Polri [police] members with performance allowance," said Jokowi.

Jokowi also said that the provision of THR, 13th salary, and 50 percent Tukin was a form of government appreciation for civil servants and officials who had helped the government in tackling the COVID-19 virus.

However, the president also did not deny that the provision of THR, 13th salary and tukin was also a form of government effort in encouraging national economic recovery.

"This policy is a form of appreciation for the cooperation of central and regional officials in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to increase people's purchasing power and help accelerate the national economic recovery," said Jokowi.

The technical policy regarding the provision of THR, 13th salary, and tukin will later be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the regional government and the Ministry of Finance.

"Further provisions regarding the technical provision of THR and the 13th salary will be controlled by a regulation from the minister of finance for those sourced from the state budget and regional head regulations for those sourced from the regional budget," said Jokowi, as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

It is known that the government had previously instructed all businesspeople to be able to pay THR for private employees in full for 2022 Eid Al-Fitr.

In this case, through the Ministry of Manpower, the government prohibits employers from paying THR in stages or installments like in the last two years.

This is in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number M/1/HK.04/IV/2022 concerning the Implementation of the Granting of Religious Holiday Allowances in 2022 for Workers/Laborers in Companies.

In addition, the government also ensures that companies that are unable to pay THR will receive specific treatment from the labor inspectors.

Sanctions that will be imposed on businesspeople who do not pay THR will also vary, ranging from restrictions on business activities to partial or complete termination of other means of production.
