JAKARTADAILY.ID -- Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita found several irregularities in the unannounced inspections of producers and distributors of subsidized bulk cooking oil on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Agus said, the cooking oil industry registered in the government program is required to correctly fill in and update its data in the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (SIMIRAH).

"There are distributors with addresses that do not match SIMIRAH. Therefore, we carry out surveillance. This is part of the evaluation that we can get only by conducting sudden inspections," said Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Jakarta, Thursday, April 14, 2022.

In the inspection carried out by the Ministry of Industry together with the Food Crime Investigation Unit at the National Police Headquarters, the Minister of Industry Agus visited one of the first distributors (D1) of Subsidized Bulk Cooking Oil that was included in the SIMIRAH list. Its address is in the East Jakarta area, but the location was not found, than the Minister of Industry requested that the producers from D1 correct the data submitted through SIMIRAH.

"So, at one of the distributors we visited there was an error in inputting data. If this is wrong, there are concerns that there are other errors besides the address. That's why we are monitoring it," he said.

Minister Agus also visited PT Bina Karya Prima (BKP), one of the producer of palm cooking oil located in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.  It was found that PT BKP had produced and distributed subsidized Bulk Cooking Oil as much as 50 percent of the target.

Minister Agus appealed to producers to be more accurate in inputting data on SIMIRAH, so that the data can be properly documented.

"We will also install a QR Code on the delivery tank to detect where the oil is running. We are all trying to make this program run well," he said.

Minister Agus added, that in SIMIRAH there are several display features, including production, tracking of MGC distribution, distribution distribution (location of producers and distributors), and real-time distribution (national and regional). These features are monitored to see the progress of the distribution of Subsidized Bulk Cooking Oil.

“The Ministry of Industry will periodically report to the public about the distribution rating of Subsidized Bulk Cooking Oil for all producers participating in the program. Later, we will announce business actors who do not comply and do not support the program," he said.
