JAKARTADAILY.ID – The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) recorded that there were around 1.6 billion cyberattacks throughout 2021.
This was stated by the Head of BSSN Hinsa Siburian, in a press conference held in Sawangan, Depok, West Java, on Monday, March 7.
"The results of BSSN monitoring have recorded more than 1.6 billion traffic anomalies or cyberattacks," said Hinsa as quoted by Kompas.com on Monday.

He revealed that the data was obtained from the results of monitoring and identifying potential cyberattacks 24 hours a day.
The monitoring and identification are carried out by BSSN through the National security Operation Center (NSOC).
The BSSN Chief added that the most categories of cyber attacks recorded by the agency were malware, trojan activity, and information gathering.
Hinsa claims that his agency has taken a number of technical steps to strengthen cyber security.
Some of these include the implementation of information technology security assessment (ITSA) as well as strengthening electronic systems through the application of cryptography
"We are strengthening national cyber security including (through) the installation of honeynet sensors and malware analysis, optimizing the scope of NSOC monitoring, (and) establishing a cybersecurity incident response team (CSIRT)," he said.
