JAKARTADAILY.ID - State-owned construction firm PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) secured a new contract to develop a mini-hydropower plant (PLTM) with a generation capacity of 2 x 3 MW in Bayang Nyalo of Pesisir Selatan Regency in West Sumatera province.
Waskita Karya said that the Rp 128 billion contract was signed by Waskita's EPC Division Senior Vice President A.S. Wisnu Wijayanto and PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro (BNH) President Director Soma Ariyaka during a contract signing ceremony on Friday, 26 November 2021.
Present during the signing ceremony were Waskita Karya Operation-3 Director Gunadi, and PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro President Commissioner Zainal Hadi.
Gunadi said in a press release that harnessing the water flow of the Bayang Nyalo river, the PLTM will have a generation capacity of 6.0 MW.
“It will be divided into 3 packages of works. Package 1 is the construction of a concrete weir, water intake, waterway 1 concrete box culvert, and sandtrap. Package 2 is the construction of waterway 2 concrete box culvert, head-pond, and penstock. Package 3 is the construction of powerhouse concrete and steel structure,” he said, adding that the PLTM’s whole construction will take around 22 months. (*)
