JAKARTADAILY.ID – Thamrin Nine Superblock, located in Central Jakarta, has partnered with Utomo Charge+, the developer of the Utomo Charge Plus Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station, to develop a clean energy-based office area.
The commitment was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Wisma Kartika, PT Utomo Chargeplus Indonesia, and ENTREV UNDP Project Management Unit in Jakarta.
The collaboration is part of the Enhancing Readiness for The Transition to Electric Vehicles (ENTREV) program, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the United Nations Development Program aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia through the transition to electric vehicles and demonstrating innovative business models in the transportation sector.
The Thamrin Nine Superblock's initiative to provide SPKLU infrastructure aligns with its vision of being the first Transit Oriented Development to have the tallest building in Indonesia certified as BCA Greenmark Platinum. It also seeks to pursue the Green District title target for each building in its superblock.
The National Project Manager of ENTREV, Eko Adji Buwono, welcomed the private sector collaboration for SPKLU in the Thamrin Nine Superblock area, stating that the initiative could become a pilot for other buildings to provide SPKLUs that comply with applicable laws, helping to achieve the SDGs target of access to clean and affordable energy for all people.
The Thamrin Nine Area will use Aurora 11 KV technology with six initial stages, which will be developed up to 30 SPKLUs, as well as Turbo 600 with fast charging technology capable of charging starting from just 20 minutes. Utomo Charge+ will provide the SPKLUs, with the largest network in Southeast Asia.

"We are committed to presenting the SPKLU facility, which, apart from having advanced technology, must have complete licensing documents, so that people are safe and comfortable using this facility," said Alvin Gozali, the President Director of PT Wisma Kartika.
Anthony Utomo, the Managing Director of Utomo Charge+, assured attendees of the event that Utomo Charge+ would continue to support business entities that want to start their green energy journey, particularly in the electric vehicle transportation sector.
"This proves that the readiness of superblocks like Thamrin Nine not only provides convenience to users and tenants but is also a concrete manifestation of the private sector's contribution to strengthening the electric vehicle ecosystem to welcome the incentives recently issued by the government to accelerate clean mobility in Indonesia," he concluded.
