Progress of BLT Cooking Oil Distribution 'Encouraging', Says Risma

JAKARTADAILY.ID - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini or Risma said that the progress of distribution of social assistance — the cooking oil direct cash assistance or BLT in particular — is fairly encouraging.

Risma has shared her optimism that the distribution of BLT cooking oil will be completed before Eid al-Fitr 2022, which is in accordance with the instruction of President Joko Widodo.

"The progress in the BLT cooking oil distribution is quite encouraging. Insha Allah [God willing], it can be completed before Eid al-Fitr per the president's instruction," she said while accompanying President Jokowi on a visit to East Java on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

On the other hand, the Executive Vice President for Java-Bali-Nusa Tenggara Region of PT Pos Indonesia, Agus Aribowo, added that the distribution of cooking oil BLT, especially in East Java, is currently ongoing.

Based on official data, cooking oil BLT in East Java distributed through PT Pos Indonesia has reached 3,098,115 beneficiary families (KPM).

"So far, [BLT cooking oil] has reached 2,346,892 of KPM, equivalent to 75.75 percent [of total beneficiaries]," he said.

He also ensured that the distribution of BLT cooking oil in East Java would be completed within the next two days.

"Insha Allah [God willing], it [the distribution] will be completed before Eid al-Fitr, maybe even long before Eid. Today is [April] 20. We estimate that within the next 1 to 2 days, it would be completed," he said.

Agus said that his party has continued to coordinate with the Ministry of Social Affairs, including social services in each regency/city in East Java.

"Alhamdulillah [praise be to God], so far it has been well conditioned so that the progress of the regional government is quite good, up to 75.75 percent [of beneficiaries received cooking oil BLT] today," he said.

The social assistance issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs for the Province of East Java has reportedly reached 3,098,115 beneficiary families with a total value of Rp 619,623,000,000, which includes BLT cooking oil for 3,098,115 beneficiary families with a value of Rp 929,434,500,000, Hope Family Program (PKH) Phase II covered 1,520,660 beneficiary families with the value of Rp 1,046,936,650,000, and 1,501 beneficiaries of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) amounting to Rp 1,433,270,000 (elderly, disabled, and Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YAPI)).

For Sumenep Regency, the Non-Cash Food Aid (BPNT) is at Rp 25,431,800,000 for 127,159 beneficiary families, cooking oil BLT is at Rp 38,147,700,000 for 127,159 beneficiary families, PKH stage II is at Rp 37,043,425,0005 for 1,597 beneficiary families, ATENSI is at Rp 80,900,000 for 16 beneficiaries.

For Gresik Regency, BLT for cooking oil reached 76,834 beneficiary families with a total aid of Rp 23,050,200,000, BPNT was received by 76,834 beneficiary families with a total aid of Rp 46,100,400,000.

PKH Gresik Regency has as many as 41,790 beneficiary families with a total of Rp 30,855,700,000.
