Indonesian Police Reveal 33,169 Drug Trafficking Cases Throughout 2022, Wort Rp11.02 Trillion

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian National Police has succeeded in uncovering a total of 33,169 cases of drug trafficking throughout 2022.

National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo explained that from the disclosure of the drug case, the police managed to seize evidence worth Rp11.02 trillion.

"We made various efforts throughout 2022. We settled 33,169 cases with an evidence value of Rp11.02 trillion," explained Sigit in his statement in the Year-End Release, in Jakarta, Saturday 31 December 2022.

Listyo said the drug evidence included 78.2 tons of marijuana; 416,100 cannabis trees; 0.26 kg of heroin,  55 kg of cocaine,  1 million ber ecstasy; 6.3 tons of methamphetamine; 27 ​​kg of gorilla tobacco.

"Regarding the drug problem, this is the President's commitment to eradicate narcotics. Then he has given orders to arrest and take firm action against dealers without mercy," he emphasized.

Sigit added, with the resolution of cases of 33,169 drug trafficking of Rp 11.02 trillion, at least 104 million people were saved from the dangers of drugs.
