These PMIs will be assigned to Saudi Arabia," said the Director General of Supervision of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, Haiyani Rumondang in a written statement, quoted Friday, December 16, 2022.
Haiyani stated that he had asked the Labor inspectorate to thoroughly investigate the parties involved in the non-procedural placement of PMI, both Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Companies (P3MI) and individuals.
His party will also continue to coordinate with related Ministries/Institutions and the Regional Government for handling it.
The Director for Inspection of Employment Norms of the Ministry of Manpower, Yuli Adiratna added, The inspection that was carried out today was an expansion of the inspection that was carried out on October 17, 2022, which succeeded in thwarting 38 PMI who were going to go to the Middle East.
"We certainly continue to monitor PMI placements, both by P3MI and individuals because we want no more PMI placements to be placed non-procedurally," said Yuli.
