Three Officers Wounded in a Suicide Bombing Attack in Astana Anyar Sectoral Police in Bandung, West Java

JAKARTADAILI.ID – The Astana Anyar Sectoral Police Headquarters in Bandung, West Java, was attacked by a suicide bombing attack on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Head of the Public Information Bureau, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Ramadhan confirmed that the attack was indeed by a suicide bomber.

Ramadhan said the incident occurred at around 08.20 AM local time. The suicide bomber who used a motorbike in his attack died at the scene.

"The suspected suicide bomber died," he explained.

On the same occasion, Ramadhan said that currently the explosion site had been sterilized. Police will immediately investigate the crime scene.

"Until now the scene has been sterilized and the scene processing is immediately carried out," he said.

According to Tempo, three policemen were wounded in that attack. Bandung Big City Resort Police, Senior Commissioner, Aswin Sipayung said, the perpetrator blew himself up during a police rally in the morning around 08.20 AM.
