JAKARTADAILY.ID - The Indonesian government has prepared 16 hectares of land to build houses for earthquake victims in Cianjur, West Java. The Cianjur local government will later record residents who will be relocated.
"So 16 hectares have been prepared. Later the district head and his team will determine who and which residents will move here," said the Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Suharyanto in a written statement, Thursday, December 1, 2022.

"Once those who have been relocated have new houses and land rights, the government will manage the old residents' land so that residents will not return there," he said.
According to Antara, the Regent of Cianjur, West Java, Herman Suherman said that one of the relocation locations for the victims of the Cianjur earthquake, namely Sirnagalih Village, Cilaku District, was safe even though the location was in the vicinity of the Pasirsembung Final Disposal Site (TPA).
"So everything is relatively safe, yes, and because it has received a recommendation from the BMKG," said Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman, at the Cianjur Regent's Office Hall, Thursday.
The Cianjur Regency Government has currently prepared three relocation locations for residents affected by the earthquake in Cianjur Regency, namely in Sirnagalih, Mande, and Pacet, Cipanas.
